In your case, the one and only ios installed on the router has become corrupted, [invalid checksum].
So, you need to install a good ios. and, the ios is put on the flash. therefore, you will need a version that is less than 8mb in size. -
tunerX Member Posts: 447 ■■■□□□□□□□It shows 8MB of flash. Did it have two 8MB sticks of flash and one of them is corrupt. The 2500 series combines both flash sticks into one file system.
I think the T train IOS you are using was bigger than 10MB. -
labscloud Member Posts: 137 ■■□□□□□□□□I've been in rommon mode in other devices, I've just never seen the (boot) mode. So I can find another 8MB< IOS and load on it?

tunerX Member Posts: 447 ■■■□□□□□□□Yeah, you can load a smaller IOS. Maybe open up the case and check the seating of the flash sticks. Then format the flash.
it could could be that one has popped loose or is mis seated and re seating it will fix the problem. -
labscloud Member Posts: 137 ■■□□□□□□□□Ok, I'll check that. Just sucks to get this thing shipped to me and now I have to mess around with IOS issues. Oh well, I'm still learning about troubleshooting Boot/IOS issues!
