Simple Questions...
Have any of you experienced job opportunities (info sec) where they asked you to take a significant pay reduction (>10K) for a new role with no flexibility on benefits (vacation) when you have worked so hard for your credentials (certs, education)?
Do you feel your new certs/education put you in an overqualified stance?
I've had recent experiences that caused me to ask...I declined those opportunities but maybe this is a new wave of lowering salaries in this arena.

Starting off with a solid offer (i.e. salary, benefits, bonus, etc.) sets the foundation of your career with the company. You've worked hard for your credentials and they're plenty of companies willing to pay qualified individuals in the Info Sec field.
