Random Account Sign-ups
Lately, I'v received a few emails from different websites saying I have created accounts for them. These are websites that I know I haven't created an account for and/or haven't heard of before.
Obviously I haven't opened up the emails or clicked any links inside the email. There hasn't been any suspicious logins to my email accounts either.
I don't really think I'm special enough to be the target of a spear phishing campaign, unless there's some really bored tweenager trying to hack my accounts for fun in between their pimple picking sessions...
Anyways, sonwhat do you think? Some sort of automated system that scrapes email addresses and sign upnaccounts either for nefarious purposes or as some sort of sleezy marketing scheme?
How would you handle this? Just delete the emails?
