Can anyone explain the difference between the <quick> and regular format of the drive you partition during windows xp setup (xp disk mgt)?
I have always chosen the <quick> and I havent seen any documentation stating any difference or possible data corruption using the quick vs. the LONG method

That makes sense. Not use why they dont add that to the line on there since like to oversimplify and overexplain a lot of things anyway.
Again, many thanks.
I was using quick format since i am running the formats during setup in a "lab" as practice for the exam but still never heard the of the differenceMark Twain
