Masters in Legal Studies is complete!

the_Grinchthe_Grinch Member Posts: 4,165 ■■■■■■■■■■
Just submitted my final for Business Organizations and am officially done with my Masters. Been a long road, but happy to complete it and will definitely be looking to get a Doctorate. Might be awhile as I have to figure out what to get my Doctorate in and it may require another Masters depending on the program. Hoping my school asks me to teach as they've started a Cybersecurity concentration for my program and I work in law enforcement so should be helpful to students.

Congrats! What is the difference in MS in legal studies and JD?

Thanks all! Difference between the MLS and JD is an MLS cannot practice law. MLS gives you the first year of courses that law students take. Best way to describe it is to train you to think like a lawyer and understand/apply the law. It has proven very helpful in my time dealing with regulations and a lot of programs are moving towards cybersecurity and privacy.
