Hey everyone, yesterday after a lot of stress and studying i managed to pass the switch exam on my first attempt. Study material i used where...
Networklessons.com
CBTNuggets videos
Research and labbing

NetworkLessons really do cover pretty much everything minus one or 2 little things.

After passing this exam and also Route i only have TShoot left now. To the people who have taken it, can i ask, what is it like compared to the other 2? I would say Route was harder than Switch definitely if that puts any perspective on it for me.

Thanks again

Congratulations for the pass! That must be a big load off your chest.

I think the general consensus for the difficulty of these exams is ROUTE > SWITCH > TSHOOT.

Most people who I have asked that passed their CCNP (on TE or Reddit or Linkedin) think that TSHOOT is the fairest of them all - no stupid trivia questions and actually allowing people who have really studied for ROUTE and SWITCH to gain a 1000 score.

Do a general recap, labs and knock it out of the park :) I bought the ExSim from Boson on TSHOOT and ROUTE and they seem to be really good. I haven't sat ROUTE yet (planning to do this sometime in February) but had a look at the Boson ExSim stuff and it looks really good. Think there's still a discount going on or vouchers available online .

By far, the hardest one is time management :) and for SWITCH-only, the most difficult to master were security (802.1X, RADIUS/TACACS) and maybe STP extensions / RSTP propagation...at least as far as my experience with SWITCH is concerned.

Congrats, 802.1X and security topics in general were the toughest for me...such as VLAN ACLs,

Exactly the same for me, security part was the hardest.

Congrats! I definitely agree with negru_tudor that the troubleshooting exam is the easier of the 3.
