Passed Security+
Took the test this morning after studying for a week. I just finished a 10 year run of 6 month contracts as a Systems Engineer for a major insurer, and figured it's time to brush up on all those certs during my new found downtime! I had the luxury of studying night and day, so I managed to cover the material pretty quick.
Anyway, I passed with a score of 884. To those preparing for the test, cover all the material, but my biggest recommendation is to use practice tests as much as you can. I found the material wasn't very difficult (lots can be memorization, but common sense if you have any experience), but deciphering what Comptia was asking was at times.
FWIW, the practice exams and technotes on this site are as good as any of the material you can buy. But I also used the ExamCram 2 and SelfTest practice tests.
Thank you Johan for the great material...
Next up is Server+, on Wednesday.
Good luck everyone!
Daniel
