I was able to talk my company into paying for a masters in information security so I decided to apply for the masters in security engineering at Sans. They accept applications once a quarter and it just so happens their next deadline is February 1st. I decided on Sans because the degree comes with 6 tech certifications (GSEC, GCIA, GCIH and 3 of your choosing), GSE (as the capstone), and a lot of the larger companies ask for GIAC certifications in their job descriptions...so it looks like a win/win to me. I'm curious how long the application process will take and how quickly I will be able to start. The website gives a time frame but I am hoping to start as soon as possible.

What 3 classes are you going to pick for your electives?
