Network+ Materials
Looking for N+ study materials...
One of the books I have flipped through and liked was:
Network+ Certification Passport, Second Edition (Mike Meyers' Certification Passport) (December 6, 2004)
However, I read the N+ was revised in 2005, so I wouldn't think this would be my best source as it probably doesn't cover those objectives. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Is there a newer version of passport? What would my next best option be? AIO? Edition?
Thanks!

jpeezy55 Member Posts: 255I started with the Passport book, but dropped it rather quickly. I am now using the ExamCram2 book and some StudyGuides online (Preplogic and CramSession). I used the Passport book for A+, but did not like it for Network+. The ExamCram2 is well written and is a very good book, IMO, and the practice tests are much needed.
I usually get 2 different books anyway, if for nothing else than to have 2 practice exams to work with that have different questions and formats. This way I feel like I am covering more and getting better prepared.
And of course, one of the best tools I found is right here! The posts are usually very helpful and can give you an idea of what to expect on the real exam, they have been very helpful.Tech Support: "Ok, so your monitor is not working, the screen is blank, and no matter what you do it stays blank? Do you see that button on the bottom right hand side just below the screen? Press it. . . . Great, talk to you next time!" -

The Exam Cram 2 Security+ is listed because the entire first chapter is all about how to take CompTIA certs, exam stratigies, and overall knowledge about how to take and pass CompTIA certs. Get it if your planning on taking Sec+ soon and it will help you on other CompTIA certs.
