Cyber Ops- How to self study?

Hello guys, I want to look more into cyber ops and self study but didn't know how to go about it. I really want to see what all it involves before diving into it. Reason I don't want to dive deep into it right away is I want to make sure I will like it. I have tried to force myself to like CCNA routing and switching which ended up in a disaster.

I am in a similar position. I hated the R&S path. its incredibly boring to me. I started the CyberOps because i got into the scholarship program. I finished my cohort and got the test voucher but havent taken the test.
for now i am just using the exam objectives to make sure i know the concepts well instead of test tricks. i think that is also why i never liked R&S. most of the courses dont go in depth into the concepts and i never fully grasp it. I think learning the concepts first and foremost will be good in general.
