Hi all,
Just reading through VLANs etc... and was wondering if static association or dynamic association using a VMPS (VLAN Membership Policy Server) is most commonly used, or more likely, does it vary according to size of company? Thanks.

i think static is more common.
not many are using vmps.
though I'm one of them
yes we use it .....
we have a high degree of moves and changes and I'd be configuring ports for a living if we didn't.
anyway ..... i believe cisco is pushing people to dot1x instead of vmps....
