Tax refund

I know its a bit late but I was wondering if it were possible to get a tax refund on the cert voucher and study materials for passing a cert? It is part of your education isnt it? Although it does seem unlikely, I was also wondering if you could do the same for fail certs?

I talked to one of the CPAs I work with about that a couple of years ago, and he said no. I don't remember what the reasoning was.

Tax laws are changing all the time though so you might be able to now. Who knows?

You can definitely claim it if your in Australia. I do every year. My Mother is a tax accountant.

You may want to research education expenses deductions. I would think that possibly it may fall into that category somewhere.
