Coupled with another news story I read in a mag that Microsoft are trying to see to it that PCs are not sold without an OS pre-installed. I remember when even Dell gave us a choice between Linux or Windows, so I wonder if you will be able to choose to opt not to have this Google software installed.
Computer giant Dell and internet search engine Google have reached a deal to install a version of Google software on Dell at the factory level.

1. Buy the computer.
2. Request the OS installation disc (sometimes you have to).
3. Format the hard drive and reinstall the OS as a clean install.
4. Use their software restore discs to install the Apps that you want.
By following those steps you won't have to worry about what they are installing on your PC.
Personally, I could care less that Microsoft, Google, and Dell want to do business like this. Since 90% of the world's computer use MS and more and more people are knowing about Google, it makes sense from a business standpoint to install those applications on computers to sell.
