IBM x3650 Server Model 7979PEG

Hi Guys,

Recently bought 1 IBM server (2x146 HD & 8 GB of Ram). Next month I'm planning to upgrade the ram to 40 GB and add 300 GB HDD.Before I was getting some Ram errors. I fixed it.

What OS do I have to install? How I can start with this server?

I would like to install cucm & other things.

Do a "bare metal" EVE-NG installation (linux OS) on the server and you'll be able to have a top-notch sandbox for Cisco UC (CUCM, Unity, IM&P, Telepresence Server & Conductor, Cisco Meeting Server, etc).

thanks for your help. Kindly suggest which one is better among them. I'm planning to purchase another server.

Dell PowerEdge 2950 server. Xeon 2.0 Ghz x 2.nos .8gb ram.. 300gb sas,2 x Power supply.

or

IBM X3650 7979 Server ,Intel Xeon E5404 2.0 Ghz Quad Core X 2 processor, 8 GB Ram, 146GB X 2 Hard Disk, 2 x Power supply.

or

IBM 3550 1 U server Quad core x 2 Processors, 16 GB DDR 2 Ram, 2 x Power supply, 146 GB Hard Disk.
