VCP-DCV 6 vs VCP-DCV6.5

well, I took a vmware Install configure & Manage course, like getting certed requires.

and it gave me voucher discount coupons

but my dumbass didnt pay attention.

The practice test I've been using is VCP-DCV6, but the foundations exam I went ahead and took was VCP-Foundations 6.5.

SO I already have foundations for 6.5, if I take the VCP-DCV6, will that cert? or no since they're mixed between versions.

Since I guess I've actually studied 6, not 6.5 should I just continue on with 6? is the 6.5 very different?

or should I just test on VCP-6 and suck it up and take the Foundations 6 test as well ?

3. Pass One of the Foundation exams

If you were trained on 6.0, you would only qualify for VCP6-DCV (not VCP6.5-DCV) - so you'd need to pass the 6.0 OR 6.5 Foundations exam, but must take the VCP6-DCV exam.

If you trained on 6.5, you have total freedom as to what versions of the exams you pass - Foundations can be 6.0 OR 6.5 and the VCP exam can be for VCP6-DCV OR VCP6.5-DCV (but you'll obviously end up with the VCP for the version of this last exam that you pass).

Either way, you've passed Foundations on 6.5 - you do NOT need to pass Foundations on 6.0.
