70-210 Custom Subnetting and Binary Conversion?

Hello,
I am almost ready to take the 70-210 test. Will I need to know how to custom subnet and convert IP address to binary for the test?

I know I need to learn how to do these. The question is - learn it now or after the 70-210 test. I would rather wait.

Thank you!

p.s. I found what seems to be a very cool site on teaching these.

No, subnetting is not on the 70-210 exam. This more a topic for Cisco exams, and a bit on the 216 and 291 exam. Regardless, anyone involved with networking should have a basic understanding of it, so that site you linked to is certainly worth reading.

    Johan,
Thank you for your reply. Although I have a basic understanding of sub-netting, I wasn't prepared for some of the questions from the free practice tests. Some of these questions required knowledge of being able to custom subnet. So, I am glad to wait until after the test to learn it.

Also, will I need to convert IP address to binary on the test?

    Thanks again!
