IDS Signature Training?

Yo...
I thought I was good at "Googling" but I can't seem to find many sources about creating IDS signatures.
I know it's different, depending on the product, but does anyone have any articles, video lessons, or some sort of training for this sort of thing?
I think it's something I can learn to add to my arsenal.

Edit: I've found more by searching for Intrusion Detection System rather than IDS
. Still looking for something good, though.

If you work with Fortigate this is a good resource. Might have some valuable info for any platform.

This is a good start and shows me where to go with it.
