Invisible partition?
I have a guy who came to me with a hard drive that is in the process of failing, so I got a new one and I'm trying to copy the data over. He had a 200GB drive, and I am putting a 250GB in. Both are IDE.
He has two partitions:
1= HP_Pavilion
2= HP_Recovery
So obviously it's an HP machine, and the second partition is mainly used for recovery purposes(the partition is 21MB). So the first partition has the OS and data on it.
The problem is, when I use tools such as DriveCopy or Ghost...it only copies the second partition for some reason. I can view and access the first partition just fine in windows...but whenever I try to copy the partition the process fails.
Neither partition is being used, so know that I am doing this from another hard drive. My OS is on a primary controller, with the two other drives on a secondary controller. So there's no reason it shouldn't work...the partitions are uncompressed and don't seem to be encrypted.

It can view and recover Fat and Ntfs partitions. One note though, the download is HUGE...approx 700Mb..but it may be worth it.....i remain, he who remains to be....
