SANS SEC504 - live training question

Hello!

I'm doing SEC504 soon and was wondering how much time is spent hands on using your laptop?

The reason I ask is that my current laptop has a 13.3" screen but I'm thinking that if there's hours of hands on laptop work every day then perhaps I should upgrade sooner than planned and get something with a bigger screen. I really don't want to be hunched over squinting at a small screen for hours.

you'll be fine. not hours. most lower-level sans labs in my personal experience are 15-30 minutes each (depending on how fast you can blow through them), with breaks in-between for lecture & bathroom. you won't be staring at a screen for 3 hours straight every day.

The only exception is for the last day as it’s a CTF...but you get out a few hours earlier than normal.

Funnily enough I was looking at the portable monitor.. just as it would be great for working away.
