Hi,
I'm preparing for my MALC exam and I'm not sure if I understand when to use GAP or SWOT analyse.
If I'm right SWOT fits for services and proccess and GAP only for a proccess, aren't it?
And if so - why to choose SWOT or GAP for a process?
I fear I'm a bit confused, can you help please?
Thanks,
Andre

SWOT analysis is used to look at the situation both internal to and external to an organisation. Gap analysis is used to identify any missing elements (skills, people, resources etc.) that are preventing an organisation reaching a goal or target. SWOT would be more appropriate if the organisation's external position also needs to be considered.
kind regards
