Summary route calculation

Hi
Just wanted to know if anyone had a good method to calculate summary routes quickly during an exam.

I've found the following which is a method I can work with and with some practice can possibly get to a point where I can do it in my head

https://ccnaskills.wordpress.com/2011/07/20/calculating-the-best-summary-route/

Just wondered if anyone had come across a method which is faster to do it in your head. Not sure how much this may crop up in an exam but wouldn't want to spend too much time on it.

thanks

It has been a while but I don't think I spent any time working on summary routes. Once you get to the point of subnetting in your head in a few seconds the summary routes will also jump out at you quickly.

If you have not tried it already I would check out this site for practice.

Cheers mate yeah I've got it now.

Think I speed read this part in the book so didn't quite grasp it but just sat down and run through a few examples on the website I posted to get the general idea and your are right.

Once you use your subnetting and block size knowledge it's pretty straight forward.

Just tieing up a few loose ends that I've got on my list from questions I'm getting wrong on Boson to make sure I'm ready for the exam.
