Post count not updating for new post

It appears that when I make a new post, my post count displayed in the post is not incremented by one to include the new post. If I refresh the Web page, the post count in the post updates to the correct number.
Is this happening to anyone else?

EDIT: actually I got a +1 from this post and another +1 after I edited the post.
