Cisco 3550 keeps asking me to flash?
I recieved a 24 port Cisco 3550 which is starting to exhibit problems. Once every couple of weeks the switch will begin asking me to press a key to flash it when I boot it up, some automated flash sequence happens and everything seems to work ok after it. I'm trying to track down the issue, mainly to find out if it's a hardware specific problem or a problem with a bad flash and/or software issue.
To me, it looks like someone may have tried to upgrade it to an EMI IOS and something messed up in the process, but I can't be sure.
