And the link at the bottom of the description directs you to apply on their HTTP website, which asks for your full social security number....

Do I really want to take this on?

    I would never enter my Social on a non-encrypted webpage.

    Put a fake one in and then explain the situation later, if applicable.

    Right. But if that is on their publicly facing web server, then, if I do get in, its very likely symptomatic of some larger problems I’ll be saddled with later on.

    I get you. It goes to show how used to I am working in places where there is "some larger problems". I don't even pause as it's mainly like that everywhere (here). :D

    It's not a one for one fit with what I do now.  I may have to charm them a bit to get them interested, then a bit more once I convince them I'm what they want....
