Database migration help.
TechJunky
I just started working for a company and I am not familar with a couple of their databases and I do not want to take their mission critical databases down.
They are using counterpoint, Uptrends, and Sage Business Works.
Here is their current setup.
Windows 2000 AD Server.
10 workstations.
They wish to remove the 2000 Server and put in place a 2003 SBS Server. I have the 2003 SBS server setup in as a basic server, no AD. I copied all the network shares over and now I want to begin the database migration over to the 2003 server.
I was curious if I could just install these databases and then have them point to the shares that i copied over on the local box and everything would work correctly.
Thanks.

Well, I am about half way there. The data bases seem to work half way. Running into some file permission issues.
