How similar is the ISTQB and CSTE exams

Can one actually do both of these? Even though I know it is redundant to have both... I know sometimes it helps as some places accept one or even both. Since both these exams are quite close it might not take long to study both at the same time. Anyone ever done that? How much BTW has it help you in your advancement? I have some ITIL, scrum certifications and have kinda studied for the ISTQB but happen to saw the CSTE or CSQE (ASQ) and found them to have several topics overlapped... that is why I asked.
