Failed Route :(
Hey All,
Sad news to share but I failed the Route exam.
Scored 718 and needed 790.
Struggled in VPN, Network Principles, L2 technologies and Infra Services.
It has been very clear the Cisco Press book on the route exam is very "below the bar".
Any advice from anyone else who failed?
Struggled with NTP, IP SLA, NPT and NAT64 topics.
Thanks,
Pujan

MontagueVandervort Member Posts: 399 ■■■■■□□□□□I don't have any advice as I haven't yet taken this exam; however, I'm also having some issues (technical errors, extremely poor grammar, obvious errors such as pointing to the incorrect image, etc.) with the Cisco Press books these days and am considering an alternative.
That said, I'm sorry to hear you failed the exam but hang in there... you'll get it!

scaredoftests Mod Posts: 2,780 ModI found the scholarship cisco learning lacking as well. So many items were missing in that training versus the actual test. The test I hated, because unlike the other cert tests I have taken in the past, you could not go back to previous questions.

Test recheduled to take on the 13th
Gameplan: Go through the blueprint of anything not familiar with, and use ciscos own desgn guides along with youtube videos per topic, gonna be a hard camp for the next 2 weeks (slightly less infact)[X] CCNA R&S

thomas_ Member Posts: 1,012 ■■■■■■■■□□Welcome to the club! I failed it the first time around and rebooked my exam for a week later and passed. I would recommend going through the exam objectives, so you can remember the questions you were uncertain about. After you have that list research those topics.

Whenever I'm studying a technology I just google "Cisco IP SLA" or whatever I'm looking for and it will pop up the technical configuration and the overview of the technology.Certifications:

pujan96 Member Posts: 121 ■■■□□□□□□□Just resat and Passed
Just barely that is, got the exact score needed to pass, not sure how to feel about that....
But glad its done, Hardest hurdle out of the CCNP done, now onto switch, should be a breeze as my current role focuses on Switching more heavily compared to routing.
Going to take a break for a week, binge watch some tv shows, catch up with mates, and than go back hard to studying.
Thanks for all the advise and support guys.
