How much MAC OS knowledge do we need?
proph21
Hey all,
I am studying for this exam atm and am honestly becoming discouraged after reading the threads in this forum section lol. I had a question regarding knowledge of the MAC OS:
While going through the CompTIA CySA+ Practice Tests: Exam CS00-001 by Sybex (which I am finding includes material never mentioned in any of the books), I am noticing there are quite a few questions dealing with specific features and aspects of the MAC OS. I was wondering if you all encountered similar scenarios wen doing other practice tests and if so, what resources you found helpful to close any gaps regarding the MAC OS.
Thanks!

I don't remember a single question about Mac OS, to be honest. I took the beta, so your mileage will likely vary.

Finder from what I recall. It was asking specifics about MAC resource/performance monitoring utilities and what certain colors on graphs mean, methods to recover passwords from MAC, and a few forensic questions specific to MAC. I don't have the book in front of me otherwise I would give some specifics :X

For the DF items, you'll need to know about the macOS file systems (
HFS
,
HFS+
,
APFS
).
