Do you have a hot take on the current state of the premiere cybersecurity certification? Now's your chance to make your voice heard! (ISC)² is looking for feedback on the CISSP, and which new technologies they should consider adding. Check out their blog post for more information about how to submit your feedback!
(ISC)² regularly conducts Job Task Analysis (JTA) studies to review and update the content outline (or exam blueprint) of its credentialing examinations. A JTA is the methodical process used to determine tasks that are performed by credential holders and knowledge and skills required to perform those tasks successfully. Results of the JTA study link a candidate’s examination score directly to the domain knowledge being tested.
The existing exam blueprint for CISSP will be reviewed in early 2020. In preparation for the upcoming review, we would like to hear from our CISSP members who are participating in this forum/community to comment on the new and emerging IT cyber security issues that they you should be addressed but are not covered in the current CISSP Examination Outline. This is your opportunity to shape the content of the CISSP exam. Thank you in advance for taking the time to share your feedback and experiences – it will help us ensure the CISSP certification continues to meet the needs of an ever-evolving cyber security industry.
You can find a copy of the current CISSP Exam Outline online.
(ISC)² would appreciate you reviewing the current Outline and answering the following questions:
  1. Does the current CISSP Exam Outline adequately cover the existing and emerging IT cyber security techniques and threats CISSP practitioners are facing in their jobs today?
  1. If not, what sort of topics/content must be added to the Exam Outline so that it reflects the changing face of today’s cyber security?
So, do you think anything should change on the CISSP? I'm curious to know what you think about the exam!
