I bought a headset a few days back and i have this strange problem with them.
Whenever i plug the 4 pole jack all the way into something, the vocals are turned off. I can hear the background music for instance, but not the main singer itself.
The only way i found to fix this was to only plug the jack 3/4's of the way in. I bought the headset mainly for the mic, and the mic only works when the headset is plugged all the way in. So i either get to talk to people and not hear their voices, or listen to them without talking.

JDMurray Admin Posts: 13,094 AdminThis is the "4-conductor jack vs 3-conductor plug" problem. There are many explanations of this incompatibility, such as: https://www.head-fi.org/threads/3-5-mm-jacks-4-vs-3-conductors.689100/
One solution is using a 4-to-3 adapter: https://www.scansound.com/3-5mm-3-conductor-male-plug-to-3-5mm-4-conductor-female-jack-headset-adapter.html
or buy a headset with a 3-conductor jack or USB. -
Barbarads Member Posts: 16 ■■■□□□□□□□It seems that the ports of the 4-pole jack are not compatible. Your 3.5mm jack is set as a 3-pin jack, not a 4-pin.
