Me too! I think I just lost my weekend... LOL

The Kali undercover is sweet. 'No dude, I just have this dumb useless Windows environment running'
It helps stop the shoulder surfers / passersby from knowing what is actually happening

Powershell is a nice addition as well.

    FYI...

2019.4 includes some exciting new updates:

    • A new default desktop environment, Xfce
    • New GTK3 theme (for Gnome and Xfce)
    • Introduction of “Kali Undercover” mode
    • Kali Documentation has a new home and is now Git powered
    • Public Packaging – getting your tools into Kali
    • Kali NetHunter KeX – Full Kali desktop on Android
    • BTRFS during setup
    • Added PowerShell
    • The kernel is upgraded to version 5.3.9
    • … Plus the normal bugs fixes and updates.

Mine ran fine for a day or so then crashed every time I launched Chromium. So I uninstalled and reinstalled Chromium. So far, no problems.

Anybody have problems with this installation?

Before you upgrade, make sure to back up your current installation in case you need to roll back.

No. I have used the VM's but I am waiting to get my hands on a real phone... just to play.

I love the XFCE icon theme and I think the screen recorder baked in and on the panel is a nice touch. PowerShell is really cool too.

Odd that OWASP-ZAP was excluded from this release. It's easy enough to install after the fact, but I still find the exclusion odd.

I downloaded the virtual box package, after login it just stop responding, anybody tried that?

For now I will download the iso and do a manual install on virtual box.

The Virtual Box OVA from Offensive Security seems to be doing fine for me. The ISO, on the other hand, was a little buggy. I'm keeping my older builds handy just in case.

I downloaded the free vmware player and vmware image, the new version feels much better than the old one.

Wow I had to manually install screen, nikto, and nmap. A bit bare bones!

They were in my fresh install. With meta-packages (https://www.kali.org/news/major-metapackage-makeover/), you can do a apt install kali-linux-full or even apt install kali-linux-everything to get the important packages installed.
