I've only volunteered at security conferences, such as BSidesLV, and to work on Open Source software projects. I imaging a volunteer NetOps person being like a roadie setting up and tearing down networks at event locations such as conventions. Are you thinking of a more work-from-home role that uses dashboards to control Cloud-based and SDN networks?
@JDMurray Well yes it's going to be working from home specially with the pandemic. I'm looking more into board roles, governance, non for profit, marketing, and IT management.

The only thing that comes to mind is any site that would post opportunities for interns that don't require enrollment in an internship program. Besides the usual job boards, professional orgs (ISSA, ISACA, (ISC)2, etc.) might also post volunteer work positions. (I got my present job from my resume posted on the (ISC)2 site.) Github and Sourceforge also have OS projects looking for volunteers, but usually it's for software developers, testers, and documentation people. I think OS project sites are still worth a look for you.
