Passed or not, How do I find out?

Hi everyone,

This may sound like a stupid question, but at my school we had to get a least 70% on the theoretical exam and also on the pratical exam.

I got 76.8 on the theory and 70 on the pratical. Before the school can apply for our certificates at cisco we have to complete the course feedback.

Now the instructor sent a mail that students who got more than 70% are passed so that would imply that I did not pass... All the other people on the forum talk about getting 850 etc... So I don't really know how good I have scored... Can anyone help?

It sounds like you are talking about the Cisco Network Academy courses, and not the CCNA exam.

You should be able to check your "gradebook" at the Academy web site:
    http://cisco.netacad.net/

Those scores you mentioned probably won't be enough to pass the CCNA Exam without additional study.

The other people here are talking about the actual CCNA exam.

I am talking about the final exams, both theoretical and skills exam. (because our instructor mailed us mentioning we had to complete a course survey before he could 'obtain' our certificates from cisco, so he probably won't be able to do that if we had not done the "real" thing).

I took the (I believe 11) module exams, each time scoring in the range of 80-90%. Then I got 76.8 on the theoretical and 70 on the skills exam.

Darned, too bad I can't copy paste because it is in flash but the 2 items I am talking about are: Final exam and skills exam.

Between these 2 items are the following: course feedback, Cns practice skills-based exam and case study (we haven't done any of those).

It seems my school has a weird way of grading icon_rolleyes.gif. They had been telling us all semester that 70% would be enough. I hope they reply to my mail quickly.

Because while people keep trying to tie them together, one has nothing to do with the other. The original goal for passing the academy was that they would give you a chance to take the CCNA exam for free. The academy started out as a two year program for high school juniors and seniors and eventually adults; then progressed to a one year community college program. Cisco also has a cabling course that is loosely affiliated with the CompTIA HTI+ cert. When the democratic national convention was in in Los Angles Cisco made the academy more well known by making a video of the Roland Heights High School academy wiring up the convention center with Cisco kit. That played very well I understand.
