Hi all - new to the forum
I started my career as a software developer and then moved into a law enforcement role where I worked in a technical capacity for many years.
I was studying for a Masters in Cyber Security and Digital Forensics, whilst studying for my CISSP.
I then sort of fell into a really specialist role in automotive cyber security and decided to drop the CISSP to concentrate on the Masters, which I completed last year.
My role is a decent role with adequate pay, but it is really high level and I am not particularly happy with it.
I am looking to retrain and maybe complete some certification, maybe more hands on than the CISSP - possibly cloud security but have no real preference at the moment.
I would be really happy to hear from anyone who has any thoughts whatsoever on my situation?
Looking for many interesting chats!

JDMurray Admin Posts: 13,090 AdminWelcome! Great to have more LE and DF experience in the forums! What are you not happy about with your current job role? Are you looking for something that is much more deeper technically? Maybe look at InfoSec roles that benefit greatly from software development experience.

I guess there are many aspects to my dissatisfaction, but technically yes I am probably looking for something deeper. Thanks for the advice - I will keep an eye out for that sort of thing and see if I fit. Cheers
