AI Generated Synthetic Media
So, I watched CBS 60 mins last night about AI Generated Synthetic Media, aka Deep Fakes.
It seems to me that AI is truly a dangerous technology due to all of the misinformation that is going around. As any AI guru can manipulate your fave person's face in the whole world and stick it on another person's face in a video and misrepresent that person's POV.
My question is, should this technology even exist?
If so, then why? Pros/Cons?
What's your view?
