Been a long time since I been here. Got some questions for the boys here.
I've been a senior network engineer for awhile now but have been looking for opportunities. I'm seeing AWS listed more and more. I was considering getting the cloud practitioner then the AWS advanced networking. I've specifically been passed on jobs because one of the skills was AWS and I lacked it. Has anyone taken this test and what are your thoughts on it? Despite no real world experience, I feel as though having an understanding of AWS combined with the rest of my background could push me over the edge for a job should AWS be something they are looking for. Thoughts?

I haven't taken this exam, but I've seen people spin up a free AWS instance and do the training and get certified. you can practice a lot of concepts using the free AWS instance, and your background as a network engineer will help a lot!

Here is
my review of the AWS Cloud Practitioner exam
that I took last year. It's a good cert to start learning AWS. You at least do the
AWS Architect Associate cert
before the
AWS Advanced Networking cert
.
