c5rookie Member Posts: 53 ■■■□□□□□□□One issue I've seen when using macOS and trying to run Fusion is the lack of virtualization support for Apple's M1 chip. VMware is still working on a stable solution which works with Apple's CPU. They have a BETA release, but from what I've seen in the VMware community is that it still has problems. Parallels seems to work well without any issues.

abingot Member Posts: 2 ■■□□□□□□□□As for me, the VMware Fusion wins in features set and customization possibilities. On the other side, Parallels will be easier for the beginner. Parallels is much faster, still, it is for a casual user and VMware Fusion is for real tech geeks. As well as for me Parallel’s pricing model is a bit confusing. My choice would be VMware Fusion + VMware backup software. Also, I would consider VirtualBox as it is free. Another plus is if you need to create clones you will not have to pay for Fusion Pro.
