Live in-person class for SANS course question

LSS, I have to take GCIH as a job requirement and am going to be taking it in person training unfortunately. I have taken several other courses but the On-Demand option. I honestly don't care for the in-person option but I will go for the 1st day just to get the books and self study for the exam. I have GCFA so from my research I should be able to pass GCIH with out being stuck in training for 40 hrs. I really want to know if they take attendance everyday and how are the cpe certificates usually issued? I just can't justify staying in the training in my mind outside of the CPEs lol.

Do you just need the GCIH cert and not the training? Go for the exam-only options. You get the course materials and you can self-study.

Just an fyi....you do not get the course material when you do the exam only option.
