2501 ios upgrade q

hi everybody
i try to upgrade the ios version of my 2501 but i 'm confused. look...
i have the image already on my pc and the only way to upgrade, for me, y via XModem but when i go to rom mode the prompt isn´t like this ..............."rommon>" is just ">". i use the Xmodem command and the router doesn't recognize it.
can you help me?

They talk about copying an image from CDRom, but your communication software usually prompts you for the location of the file to transfer.
Or if you already have a working network configuration on the router, you can use rommon and the boot image to TFTP a new IOS

It sounds like you are in the bootstrap program, and not rommon.

i already upgrade the ios ver.
in the global mode i had to change the reg value to 0x2101 and at next relaod i get this prompt: "router(boot)>" and i began to work on it,
Exactly within a network environment using a tftp server then performing
the "copy tftp flash"
