1000base-cx cable type

Hi,

I read in a book that 1000base-cx uses a fiber optic cable but other books say that 1000base-cx use a special coax cable.

I read on the technotes that 1000base-cx use a special coax cable.
Which cable is correct?

Btw im reading about the protocols now.

Any advice for studying protocols?

In my TechNotes I wrote:

1000BaseCX specifies Gigabit Ethernet over a special 150-Ohm shielded coaxial cable, also known as twinax, with DB-9 connectors. It is specifically designed for short cable runs such as server-to-server connections and specifies a maximum cable length of 25 meters.
