Fast Switching mode

Hello !
I read that, by default, the "Fast Switching" mode was activated.
This means that 'ip route-cache' is configured, isn't it ?
Nevertheless, on my Cisco 7200 (simulator), the 'show run' command informs me that the "Fast Switching" mode isn't activated by default (I see 'no ip route-cache' in the running config).
Is the "Fast Switching" mode only activated by default on "smaller" series like 800 or 1700 ?
Thanks.

Process switching
Fast switching
CEF Cisco Express Forwarding
Probably the 7200 is using CEF as its a high end router but i'm only guessing.Networking, sometimes i love it, mostly i hate it.Its all about the $$$$ -

I believe that is correct. You won't specifically see it in the configuration, but if you put in the no ip route-cache you will see that. There are a lot of Cisco defaults that don't show in the configuration.
