Hello,

this is my first post. Please be kind, im a newbie.

Im currently enrolled at a Cisco academy and doing 2 Mod exams per week icon_cry.gif

I have CCNA Semester 2 - Mod 11 exam on Monday and then a skills test based test in middle of next week, testing my understand and implementation of access lists.

My question is simply, what do to do to best prepare me firstly for the CCNA Mod 11 test and secondly the Skills test??.

Any advice would be welcomed.

There is really nothing to access list once u nail them.

I found the networking academy stuff for ACLs wasnt too good. The sybex book helps u understand them in about 3 pages.. compared to a whole module.

study study study, only that helps you :)

    but be sure you know:
    - deside when to use standart and extended access list (and remember their numbering)
    - where to place access lists
    - memorize port numbers (ftp, telnet, http... and protocols which the use tcp/udp)
    - understand wildcard mask, how to make mask that will cover whole subnet (255.255.255.255 - netmask by octets) or make mask to cover range of host IPs
    LAB: 7609-S, 7606-S, 10008, 2x 7301, 7204, 7201 + bunch of ISRs & CAT switches
