hello!
i just started (or should I say trying to start) studying for the mcsa exams, and i am using the testout course.
my problem is, i can`t get it to work. if i try to use the programm with a codec pack installed on my computer, the video files work fine, but the labsim utility doesn`t work at all. when clicking a labsim link (any labsim link), it just takes me out of the course in the available products screen.
now, if i try to run the programm with no codecs installed on my computer, the video files give me the error message: "please verify that the codecs have been installed correctly", and, when clicking the labsim utility, i have sound, but no image.
however, i can play all the files (labsim and course sim) just fine outside the programm, using third party players.
the one that testout says is the right one, doesn`t work neither.
I`m using windows xp professional
this post it`s a bit of the topic, but i`m hoping that somebody here used the testout preparation tool, (maybe had the same problem), and can point me to the right codec, or settings;
