a little crisis on my 2924

I bought this 2924 from ebay. cann't see ios ver in "sh ver"(why?) but I can see when it's powered up the file name, so I add "boot system c2900......." then reload. I got "switch:" prompt.

by reference on the internet, I re-powered the switch while holding "mode" button. I rename the "config.text", then "switch:boot". problem still.

I can see the file(as below), but how to get rid of the "permission" thingy?

Try this:

BOOT flash:c2900XL-h-mz-112.8-SA2

instead of

BOOT c2900XL-h-mz-112.8-SA2

Your switch should say, Loading "flash:filename" and not Loading "filename"
