Cisco Catalyst 3500 XL series

in CCNA & CCENT
Can anyone tell me if I can use this switch with 2 2600 cisco router for a home lab? I go this switch from work and I was thinking of buying a 2950 switch?

    yes it can be used.. but it does lack the range command.. and may be limited on qos features if going into the NP but it will work well

    plus it is huge, sounds like a vacuum cleaner, is a power hog and you will keep it off as much as possible if it is like my 3548XL. Maybe the smaller port models are quieter but the 48's seem to have no sound suppression at all.. icon_sad.gif
