DHCP server question

I configured my router as a DHCP server and I want other routers to learn the IP address automatically, for example routerA request a IP address to routerDHCP server.

Is this possible?

This all depends on the IOS your running but yes its is possible

If I understand correctly, you want the interface(s) on the other routers to get their IP from the DHCP server?

We had discussed this a few threads ago where someone was having problems getting out on the internet through his LinkSys broadband router that was also a DHCP server.

But normally it is not a good idea to have routers use dynamic addresses.

I agree with Danman. hard code your routers. If necessary exclude those addresses from your DHCP scope on the original router.
