Laptops + flight = x-ray = bad?

Anyone been on a flight recently? Im leaving for our honeymoon in September, and now Im hearing airlines are actually Xraying laptops.....I know how easiy a hard drive can be ruined, wouldnt this cause a problem?

It's been common practice for years. It won't be a problem.
Be sure to take it out of any case you have it in. I made that mistake several years ago (but after 9/11) and they had to inspect it more carefully for explosive ions. -

My laptop goes right thru the machine along with my shoes. no problems. Yes, remove it from any bag or case.

Try taking a laptop on an international flight these days ..... not a chance as hand luggage. Wrap it well in bubblewrap and pack it in the middle of a case.www.supercross.com

Everytime I've taken a laptop on a plane they've x-ray'd it, I've never had a problem.
