Laptops + flight = x-ray = bad?

Anyone been on a flight recently? Im leaving for our honeymoon in September, and now Im hearing airlines are actually Xraying laptops.....I know how easiy a hard drive can be ruined, wouldnt this cause a problem?

It's been common practice for years. It won't be a problem.
Be sure to take it out of any case you have it in. I made that mistake several years ago (but after 9/11) and they had to inspect it more carefully for explosive ions.

My laptop goes right thru the machine along with my shoes. no problems. Yes, remove it from any bag or case.

Try taking a laptop on an international flight these days ..... not a chance as hand luggage. Wrap it well in bubblewrap and pack it in the middle of a case.

Everytime I've taken a laptop on a plane they've x-ray'd it, I've never had a problem.
