Hi Guys,
been a sysadmin for 6 years but want to start networking routers (tied of relaying on external companies doing it), I have ordered wendel odom book and todd lamale book (is this overkill), also have semsim at the moment. Anything else I would need to do CCNA exam

Get some gear and play with it. 2500s and 2900s will give you the feel for the real thing, unlike a simulator.
