Besides IPSEC, are there any other protocols that a person should really know for the exam. PPP, LPTP, PPTP ?

    Yes, you need to know all the common services port numbers (http=80, https=443, ssh=22, etc.). You need to know the ones you mentioned like PPTP and L2TP. You need to know Kerberos and the stuff related to it and VPN's (like esp).

    Have you checked out the Tech Notes here? Most everything on them is covered in the exam.
    All things are possible, only believe.
