Does anyone have any suggestions for creating documention for you network using MS Visio? So far i like the program and it has alot of neat tools. However, im just wondering if anyone knows the best way a newbie should go about getting all the data i need to properly document and get the data into the shapes. So far i figured i would make an excel sheet with all the column data i would to have on each device and then import it into each shape.
Any advice that might save me a lot of time due to items i wont think of the first time around would be greatly appreiciated.
Does anyone have an excel sheet example i could take a look at?
Does anyone know where i can get Xserve, APC stecils/icons? how about fiber panels?
Thanks
Aaron
